Our friendly local porters pick up your garments and deliver them back within 48 hours so you dont have to worry about scheduling time to do this.
Our solution involves a simple online registration, access to pricing online and the ability to contact us any time you require. Payments are made via our PCI compliant payment gateway.
We will arrive between 11am and 3pm on the designated pick-up/drop-off days.
Typically your order will arrive anytime between 11am and 3pm on the next designated pick-up/drop-off day each week. Sometimes we may need longer on particular garments, such as spending a bit more time on stubborn stains or completing some alterations you requested. If so, we will notify you when to expect your clothes back.
Once you have registered and have activated your account, you can view Laundry Porter pricing by logging into the members page.
You have the ability to update your password. Simply log in to your account, then go to My Account and select 'Update Password'.
Simply click the ‘forgot your password’ link on the login screen. You will receive an email to verify your identify and subsequently provide you the ability to create a new password.
Your notepad is your primary means to tell us your preferences and requests but also indicate whether there are stains and their location. This helps us to quickly identify your needs and gives every chance of returning your clothes stain free.
Once we return back to base, we have an opportunity to review your garments and enter these details into our system. At this point you will receive an email confirming your order number, the number of garments and costs.
Typically we will initiate payment within 24 hours of submitting your invoice . You will receive a receipt via email once payment is completed that will include your order number.
Yes it is. Your Credit Card which was captured during registration, is stored to a 3rd party payment service that is Level 1 PCI-DSS Compliant. No sensitive data is stored on our servers.
You have the ability to update your credit card on file. Simply log in to your account, then go to My Account and select 'Update Credit Card'. The last four digits of your current card on file will be listed, so click the 'update card' button to enter your new credit card details.
Sometimes we are unable to remove stains from your garments safely, so this blue tag on your garment will indicate this.
Yes we offer an Alteration and Repair service. Pricing for these services are listed in your Laundry Porter members page. When requesting an alteration or repair, describe what you require on a page from the Notepad supplied and insert into the plastic id pouch located on your bag.
As you are not visiting a store to be measured for specific alterations, you will need to describe these specifications to us - i.e. take my pants up by 5 cms or replace button on my shirt.
Please allow up to 1 week for this service to be completed, although some alterations may be complete before the next scheduled drop-off day.
The tag on your blue bag helps us to identify your items from other customers. You will need to contact us as soon as possible and notify your business liaison so that we can ensure your items are correctly processed and returned back to you. We will organise a new tag that will be attached to your bag on return back to you.
Simply describe your requirements on a page from the Notepad we have provided you and insert this page into your plastic id card pouch located on your bag.
Terms & Conditions
1. APPLICATION
By using our services you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions, which may change without notice.
2. PAYMENT TERMS
All quoted prices are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax and are subject to change without notice.
All invoices must be paid prior to collection of garments or as otherwise directed by us and we reserve the right to retain the goods until payment is received.
When using our Pick-up/Drop-off service you authorize DebonaireDC Pty Ltd, trading as Laundry Porter to charge your nominated credit card prior to your garments being returned to you. We do not accept change of mind on any garment(s) left in our care for cleaning or preservation once a receipt has been issued.
3. COLLECTION OF GARMENTS
Whilst we shall make every possible effort to process garments within the prescribed time-frame we shall not be liable for delays.
If garments can be improved we will hold them over to carry out the required work unless we have been instructed otherwise. Please remember our efforts are aimed at presenting you with your garments unmarked or us knowing that we have exhausted all possible avenues in restoring your garments. We can separate individual garments from an order at your request however no claims on loss of garments will be accepted if you select to separate an order.
4. CARE FOR GARMENTS
To protect your garments; we follow the Care Label instructions on each item we process. If your garment requires treatment, which is contradictory to that
indicated on the Care Label instructions, we will make an attempt to contact you and advise you of the potential risks associated with proceeding with the
treatment. If we are unable to contact you, we shall refrain from cleaning the garment in question. If you authorize us to proceed, you must assume
responsibility for any damage to the garment.
We accept no liability for garments that have missing or removed Care Labels.
We check garments for any damage that could be exacerbated by the laundering/dry-cleaning process. If we have any concerns regarding a garment, we will make an attempt to contact you and obtain your approval to tailor the garment ahead of cleaning.
If we are unable to contact you, we may proceed with cleaning the garment in question, and may take digital photography of the garment before and after.
5. SAFE CLEANING GUARANTEE
We offer a safe cleaning guarantee. This means we will process every garment we accept safely. This does not mean we will remove every stain from every
garment. If it is our professional opinion that stain removal will be unsafe, or will compromise our safe cleaning guarantee, stain removal efforts will
cease.
6. DAMAGE
We exercise utmost care in cleaning and processing garments entrusted to us and use such processes which, in our opinion, are best suited to the nature and
conditions of each individual garment. Nevertheless, we cannot assume responsibility for inherent weaknesses or defects in materials (such as sun fading on
curtains and insects like moths, silverfish) which may result in tears or the development of small holes in fabric that are not readily apparent prior to
processing. In dry-cleaning and laundering we can not guarantee against colour loss, colour bleeding, and shrinkage; or against damage to weak and tender
fabrics.
Our liability with respect to any damage to garments caused by us shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition. No claims for damages will be recognized unless you advise us of it within 7 days of collecting the garments.
7. LOSS OF GARMENTS
We exercise utmost care in processing garments received to avoid misplacement or loss of items. However, there will be instances where items may get
misplaced or lost.
Our liability with respect to any lost item shall not exceed ten (10) times our charge for cleaning that garment regardless of brand or condition.
8. PERSONAL ITEMS
Please check all of your garments for money, jewellery or other valuables prior to depositing them with us. If we find any valuables in your garments, we
will make every effort to return them to you but we cannot be held liable for the loss of any such articles that are forwarded to us.
9. PRIVACY
We will use your customer information in the regular course of providing services to you. We respect your privacy and warrant that any information you give
us will be held with the utmost care and security, and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.
Providing us with correct and up to date personal information allows us to better serve you by (1) contacting you about any issues which may arise during the handling of your garments; and (2) processing your credit card payments.
10. JURISDICTION
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Victoria and the parties shall submit to the non-exclusive
jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
